As usual, I'm a bit late, but here are the winners of the mascot contest. We didn't get a whole lot of entries, so I'm just gonna post all the legitimate ones (ie: no Larry) so everyone can see how much hard work you guys put into this. Let's start off with our winners. Vinecraft Banner Contest

Guys, there's only one day left until your Vinecraft banners are due. If I'm not online to accept your entries, send them to either GlueGuy or Adventure. Here are the rules one more time:

- Again, no dicks or racism.
- Can be something constructed in Minecraft and made into a banner.

In other Vinecraft news, we removed a few inactive streamers and got a few new ones. I really hate removing streamers, but if you haven't logged in to the studio in 2 weeks or so, you make it really hard for me to justify your position. More on that in the FAQ another time. Everyone be sure to say congrats to our new Vinecraft streamers!

In the aftermath of some technical difficulties, it appears that our entire autopilot and on-demand library has mysterously vanished. But do not fear, citizens of Vinesauce! We are not going anywhere. Where are we going? NOWHERE. That's right, do not let this "offline" business fool you. Raise your fist and resist. Nothing can keep Vinesauce down, not even losing our library of hilarious and entertaining videos.

There will be some healthy new autopilot uploaded soon enough, if we cannot recover the lost videos. On a positive note, congratulations Fzuul for earning streamer status. You rock!

Two Contests, Real Prizes!

It's contest time again, but this time, there are some legit prizes involved. This is for artfags, so if you are a drawing wizard, you should enter. Even if you can't draw, try anyway for the lulz. Here are the rules:

Uncle Vine Contest


This contest is for the best vinesauce mascot. My idea was a suit and tie with a vine growing from the collar in the style of Earthworm Jim. That's just a starting point, you guys can take it any way you want. Bonus points for creativity. Rules:

- Can be any image size.
- The winner(s) pictures will be scattered throughout the site, blog, in threads, etc.
- Consists of the best drawing of what Uncle Vine would look like, or any other suitable mascot.
- Can be in the form of a banner.
- Due date is Sunday, July 25th.
- Winners will be voted on by the mods of Vinesauce Vidya.
- First Prize is any Steam game of your choice under $5 + 1 month donation status on Chatango.

Just to clear the air about something people have been asking about, our mod Nuke hasn't been banned, far from it. He wanted to start up his own stream again, so we left him a streamer at Vinecraft, but did indeed remove him from the main stream. He is a bro and I really appreciate the time he spent with us on the site.

Around the Campfire

Last night we decided to try something a little different. Being a fan of Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell, I thought it would be a good idea to have a ghost story night. It was totally spur of the moment, but it actually turned out to be quite good. I must have spoken to at least 12 people who had some really odd paranormal experiences. The only regret I have is not being able to get to everyone; there are still quite a few stories left until. Perhaps, cool stories.

We may try this again from time to time, so keep checking the blog for a possible future occurrence of Around the Campfire with Uncle Vine.




A few new pages are now up and running. The first was the completed Vinecraft page, which has become a bit of a success. We're in the process of adding a few more streamers, so if you catch me online at the right time and want to stream, let me know. I'm extremely disorganized when it comes to recruiting streamers, but a voice chat on skype is my usual method.

The second is the FAQ page which details mostly everything you need to know about the site. It also has a handy list of streamers.

The last is the Donation page, which is pretty self explanatory. If you do decided to donate, you get added to a list of demi-gods and help pay for the site. Feels good man.




We have some more interesting things to try out in the near future. A few contests loom on the horizon. One for Vinecraft banners and one for a Vinesauce mascot. I'll draw a prototype soon, but basically a guy in a suit and tie with a vine head. Think Earthworm Jim, but slightly more vegetable. Check the blog from time to time and we'll give you the heads up on all this noodly nonsense. Ramen.

Our Current Autopilot

As many you know our autopilot is continuously expanding to accommodate different tastes in video, longer length, and more humor. These three main focuses exist because that is what we feel you want. If you feel differently, please speak now or forever hold you peace. No? Ok, lets move on.

The central idea behind the creation of the autopilot is that there could be a filler of utter randomness and humor that would be there when there aren't any people streaming in the stream. So far, that has worked out pretty well for Vinesauce but that is no reason to stop improving it. The next step in the quest for improvement is more user control. This control was originally planned to be 10-page survey that included voice authentication and credit card information for blackmail survey purposes. Sadly, What was decided against my better judgement was that most suggestions should go through the comment box.

Please put in the comment box of this post any ideas and suggestions that you feel could be done to improve the quality of the current autopilot. Also, if there are any funny or videos of different taste (Japanese, Mind Fuck, Ect...) that you have come upon in your travels, please link to them in the comment box. Your contributions, if added, will not be ignored and a golden statue will be made in your honor.

Vinecraft and 1M Get

Minecraft, minecraft, minecraft. Most of us love it, but some hate it. We've noticed that a good 40% or more of our streaming lately has been Minecraft. While this isn't necessarily a bad thing, too much of any one game can get a bit lame. To fix this, Tame came up with the idea of Vinecraft, a separate branch of our site devoted to nothing but Minecraft.

Currently, you can click the Vinecraft link at the top of the page and it will take you to the plus4chan version of the site. We'll have a page similar to the main stream's very soon, but until then, you can either check that out, or the livestream version. Also, it can only hold up to 50 viewers for now, but when we get approved, it'll be unlimited.

What does this mean for vinesauce vidya? It'll be streaming every game except Minecraft. Vinecraft will also have it's own set of streamers and mods. Some will stream on both sites, others will be exclusive to one particular stream. We are currently looking for minecraft streamers, so if you have streaming/minecraft experience, let me or any of the mods know.


Over 1,000,000 viewer minutes.


You can see by visiting www.livestream.com/vinesaucevidya that we surpassed one million viewer minutes. That's a really huge accomplishment for us, and I'm still at a loss for words for how much of a success you guys have made us. Thanks again.
